Language is extremely important in the education of a young child. A child’s language affects how they grow up. It is a part of the way they learn. White students tend to always begin school with more advantages. Researchers who study the education and development of children urge that the problem with minatory children being placed in special education programs needs to be a second option after considering the socioeconomic experiences a child may have that influences their readiness for school. Researcher are encouraging that school funds go to creating programs that enable children to get ready for school. Emphasis needs to be on emotional and mental health, physical education and academics. Focusing on these three factors can aid minority children in being more prepared for school, cutting back on the high number of them being placed in special education programs.
